Best Airbnb photography in Cardiff: how to choose in 2026
The best choice depends on the pictures you need, where you will publish them and when the property is ready. We compare four routes for Cardiff hosts using scope, image usage, timing and total cost.

Compare the whole commission
A headline price leaves several questions unanswered. Count the spaces, decide which views matter and list the places you intend to use the finished images. Then compare the total payable price for that brief. A cheaper set with fewer rooms or restricted usage may still be suitable, but it answers a different requirement.

1. LUMORIA: compare the delivered coverage
Our Cardiff property photography service is built around the spaces guests need to understand. Clean provides two views per space with at least 15 finished images. Complete provides three views per space with at least 30. Dressed adds eight digital changes to Complete coverage for furnishing and styling proposals.
For an operational Airbnb home, choose photographs that show the actual guest-ready accommodation. A proposed room treatment is useful for planning; it should not imply that furniture or amenities already exist. The package builder accounts for the property’s spaces, selected finish and delivery speed. This avoids comparing a starting price for a small property with a quote for a larger one.
Standard delivery is two working days from the end of the shoot. Dates depend on postcode coverage and a photographer’s eligibility and diary. If an instant slot is unavailable, the enquiry route lets us confirm an arrangement. We cannot promise that changing the pictures will produce a particular booking uplift.
2. Airbnb-arranged photography: check your listing’s offer
The official Airbnb pro photography programme is a separate route, subject to market and photographer availability. Airbnb currently describes 15–25 finished images depending on property size, with the new set typically published to the listing within a week of the shoot. The host must check their own eligibility and service offer.
Image use matters. Airbnb’s guidance on saving programme photographs says copies are for personal use and cannot be used on another real-estate or rental site. Check the current terms if you also market through another booking platform or a direct-booking site. Booking LUMORIA independently is a separate commission; it does not arrange an official Airbnb programme shoot.
3. An independent photographer: assess a complete gallery
An independent property or interiors photographer can be a good fit when their work matches your brief. Ask to see a whole delivered property set, including small bedrooms and bathrooms. A selection of striking living rooms gives you less information about whether the difficult spaces receive equal attention.
Request a written quote covering the actual address and room list. Agree how many usable views you will receive, who prepares the property, delivery timing and what happens if access or weather disrupts the appointment. Confirm permission for booking platforms, your website and any advertising you intend. Rates, travel and usage vary by supplier; we do not invent a Cardiff market price or a review score.
4. DIY: a sensible option for a clear, manageable space
You may be able to produce a useful gallery yourself, particularly if the existing images are mostly sound and only a few rooms need updating. Airbnb’s own photography guidance recommends landscape images, daylight and files of at least 1024 × 683 pixels. Start with the main camera rather than stretching rooms to fit more into the frame.

A price match needs the same package in writing
We offer a price match for the same package before booking. The lower quote must be written, and the other supplier must be willing to deliver that full package at that price. We compare identical scope, finish, usage and delivery, with all travel and tax included. A smaller image set or a different licence needs its own comparison.
Send the same room list and intended usage to every supplier. Keep the replies together, including exclusions. This makes the decision about the photographs and permissions you will actually receive.
